Second-Chance-Brewing
Who says you have to actually brew beer to get in on a San Diego craft beer collaboration?

One of the things that makes San Diego’s craft beer scene so special is the collaborative and cooperative nature of the breweries and the bearded (mostly :D) warriors graining in and mashing out behind the scenes. Their tireless efforts keep us all hopped up on some of the best beers in the world and it’s not unusual to find them hanging out in someone else’s brew house when they’re not pitching yeast in their own. Next thing ya know, BAM! Collaboration beers happen…

In an effort to follow their lead, some of us folks who like to drink, talk, write, take pictures and shoot video of practically everything that comes out of a keg, cask, barrel, bottle or can decided that maybe there’s something to be said for this whole collaboration thing.

So hear we are…

One day (at the 2016 Rhythm & Brews Festival to be exact), I happened to run into the good folks over at HopsHighway.com and much like what happens with San Diego craft beer brewers themselves, one thing led to another and BAM! San Diego craft beer MEDIA collaboration…

Our first experimental brew comes courtesy of the fine people over at Second Chance Beer Co. in Carmel Mountain where Marty, Virginia and Curtis were kind enough to let us crawl all over the joint for a few hours to see what was what. You can see the full write-up and some sweet photography over on the HopsHighway site and get a little taster on video right here.

It’s no Seize the IPA (yet) but we’re still workin’ on the recipe 😉

Stay tuned…
