In what seems like yet another bid to keep me from straying too far from home, Wiseguy Brewing in Carlsbad has announced it’s soft opening slated for March 18th. That’s next Saturday for those of us not familiar with the Gregorian calendar…

Not a whole lot of specifics can be gleaned from their website with regard to a core lineup of beers but it appears that they’re following what most would likely consider a pretty tried and true model… That is to offer a variety of beers from your “SoCal standards” like hoppy IPA’s to German styles like Altbier, Schwarzbier, Helles Lager, etc., rounding it all out with some malty choices like porters, stouts and ESB’s.

Wiseguy will be the sixth Brewery Igniter fueled brewery to open in San Diego, the first in North County. Their official grand opening party is scheduled for April 8th. You can check out their Facebook page for more details.
